20 Years ........Starting Out.

Carol BMTC Assis Hon Sec and Ray BMTC Hon Treasurer bought their first Manchester in 1991 from Brian Moorhouse and she was bred by the Evans Twisel Favour Returned ( Coombelane Brigadoon x Ch Keyline Hot Favourite ) born 28th March 1991. She was only lightly shown and was always placed and in 1996 she won the bitch CC and Best of Breed at Crufts, what an honour.

 She was the Top Pedigree Brood Bitch in the breed in 2000 gained her Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze award for basic obedience.

 She had 3 litters and from those pups came Ch Quixol Bryony, Ch Quixol Blue Velvet and Ch Quixol Charity at Egloshayle and other winners for their owners, and all the current Quixol and Egloshayle Manchesters are descended from her. She passed away in early 2004 just short of her 13th birthday.

In March 2005 Carol invited Claire Akrigg, who had Quixol Hazel to join her in the Quixol kennel name and together they have made up Ch Quixol Betony (bred by Carol and Ray) and bred some up and coming youngsters (in joint names) both for themselves Quixol Bret April 2Res CC and for other exhibitors – Quixol Havoc 1 Res CC and Quixol Chaos. The latest in the ring are Quixol Alexander  now with 2 CCs and 3 Res CCs and his sister Quixol Pandora with 1 CC and 1 RCC and their litter sister Quixol Desdemona – owned by a BMTC Club member, they are now just 2years old and doing well with many wins between them.
